Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Rodent Design. These Terms and Conditions govern your relationship, purchases, and agreements with Rodent Design, a furniture company established under the laws of the Netherlands.
1. General Provisions
By browsing our catalog or placing an order with us, you agree to comply with these terms. We specialize in custom Scandinavian-style furniture crafted from birch plywood and wool fabrics.
2. Product Specifications & Customizations
Because wood is a natural product, slight color variations, minor grain imperfections, and typical Baltic Birch layer distributions are characteristic features and do not constitute defects. Fabric textures (such as boucle wool) may present minor color variations depending on batch production runs.
3. Orders and Payments
All prices listed are in Euros (€) and are inclusive of standard Dutch VAT (BTW) unless specified otherwise. We require full payment or a pre-agreed deposit before beginning production on custom dimensions.
4. Delivery & Installation
We offer specialized shipping across the Netherlands. If your residence is located on the upper floor of a canal house without a lift, please inform us in advance so we can prepare necessary hoists or outdoor lifts. Risk of damage passes to the buyer upon hand-delivery.
5. Returns and Cancellation
Standard items can be returned within 14 days of receipt, in accordance with EU consumer protection laws, provided they are in original condition. Custom-made items or designs tailored to your specific dimension requests cannot be returned or cancelled once production starts.
6. Liability & Warranties
We provide a 5-year structural warranty on all birch plywood frames and a 2-year warranty on wool fabric seams. We are not liable for damage resulting from improper maintenance, excessive heat, or exposure to moisture.
7. Governing Law and Competent Court
All legal relationships between Rodent Design and its customers are governed exclusively by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from or related to these agreements will be settled exclusively by the competent court of the Court of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
